- Yankee Rose is the result of two years of friends talking about putting a project together. Kevin and Jamie - formerly of the Yanks - were always so busy gigging and writing; and Angel with her many different projects - it didn't look like it was going to happen...but, Angel was looking to make a change. She called Kevin and Jamie and said "What do you guys think about getting together and recording an album?" Without hesitation they replied, "Hell, yes - let's do it!" So, Angel called a long time friend, Brandon Manza, and asked him "How'd you like to play drums in this new project?" He also replied with an enthusiastic "Yes!" Three days later they rented a rehearsal space and the magic was almost immediate. The vibe in the room was one of excitement! They played a couple of the old Yanks tunes and a couple of Angels' songs. It was clear that this was the sound and the lineup they had all been looking for. Now, one month into the project, they have written a few new tunes and are very excited about getting into the studio in the next couple of weeks. They have a few gigs on the books already and expect to be very busy throughout the summer. To all of the Angel and Yanks fans - We want you to know how much we appreciate all of your support and rest assured that neither fans will be disappointed with the new sound. It's the best of classic rock - rock and blues - so there will still be something for all of you to love. Stay tuned and we hope to see you all at a gig soon!
