Our Sound :: Something searingly visceral for people who are open-minded to something creative and diverse...and for people who like to dance by hitting each other. Your mom will like us, too.
Our Influences :: As I Lay Dying, Knockout Kings, Botch, The Used, Norma Jean, Chiodos, Fear Before the March of Flames, Converge, Portugal the Man, Alkaline Trio, Flee the Seen, Maylene and The Sons of Disaster, Zao, Blink 182, Glassjaw.
Band Bio ::
This Is Closure formed in the spring of 2007 due to the efforts of longtime friends Ryan Fraser (bass) and Jeff West (drums). Feeling creatively handicapped after playing in a few bands that went nowhere, the two comrades decided to pursue something more unique. Enter vocalist Ian Hancock, recently moved to Dallas by way of Alaska, and guitarist Brandon Murphy. Now, with a full line-up, the band is currently writing new material, looking to break the barriers of music.
This Is Closure is a band that is not concerned about where they stand in the music industry – they merely want to be in the music industry. Combining aggressively melodic riffs, thunderous rhythms and ethereal, ambient undertones, the band is focused on creating a soundscape that is both relentlessly intense and romantically thought-provoking.

Recording begins...
Hey guys,
We are going to be tracking a couple of demos beginning tomorrow. We will head into the studio to record our first song, which should be up on our page in the next week or so. We are extremely excited to finally be recording very eager to share our music with you guys. Stay tuned.
